On Destitute, Like Machines are able to refresh and renovate the supersonic rock of acts like Queensryche and Machine Head. Charismatic vocals and sizzling guitar riffs are interlaced in the effort, with louder than life drums echoing out through listeners’ speakers. A proper polish is enough to glue together each part of Like Machines into a cohesive sound. We’re excited to hear more fro the band in the future, as they’re able to immediately command attention with interesting arrangements, a boat load of finesse, and a timeless sound to this cut.
