Sp8ce Owl’s “70s Somewhere” links together the funk of Parliament Funkadelic with the Zapp Band and Jean-Michel Jarre to make a tremendously catchy track. The sparing utilization of vocals during 70s Somewhere ensures that listeners take note whenever they are present. With chops necessary to bring listeners onto the dance floor, Sp8ce Owl’s name will be the talk of the town whenever their latest single makes it onto DJ’s playlist. The artist is able to do everything that he sets out to do in only three minutes with 70s Somewhere. I’d personally love to hear what Sp8ce Owl does over the course of a whole LP; this stand-alone cut is something we’ll be playing through the summer at NeuFutur.
