Nya’s “Beauty Comes From Pain” is a hautning effort that immediately showcases her vocal skills. There’s a bit of late-1990s Massive Attack meets Bjork sort of sound, albeit with a modern production that gives both instrumental and vocal sides ample times to shine. THe guitar line that is weaved through Beauty Comes From Pain is fascinating, as is the presence of an emotive and ropey bass line. The dichotomy between human and electronic elements provides further depth to the composition. Nya’s new single is an evolutionary step forward for the performer.
We’ve checked out Nya’s singles Selfish Reason, I’ll Be Ok, Closer Than Close, Let Go, Mania, the Southland EP and Love You To Death a few years back.
