Canadian ghettotech pair THUNDERHEIST have announced dates for their next tour down the west coast and up through Canada. MC Isis and Grahm Zilla are back on the road and still two of the hottest misfits gracing the stage anywhere. The pair have been touring nonstop, taking their fierce show to all corners of the globe, sharing stages with Kid Cudi, Crookers, Skratch Bastid and many more. Now, they return…
Listeners will be confused if they necessarily expect “Electro-shock Blues†from this album. This is something that is much more scaled back and intimate than that album, a move that benefits all the songs on this disc. For the performance, the band recasts each of the songs that have made them famous; this is essentially a remix album done without a turntable or a copy of Cakewalk. “Bus Stop Boxer
The revolution is a long thread Easily twisted, hard to stretch I patch up the desert, the great desert The discord and hate, which is becoming widespread there I’m ready to die, my rifle and I the desert is thirsty, searching for freedom Those who desired to lead have failed the mission In which the martyrs have died, searching for freedom – The Long Thread, lyrics by Ibrahim Ag Alhabib,…

I know that The Eels have been around for quite a few years, but the only song that I can place to them would have to be off their Electro-Shock Blues album, “Last Stop: This Town”. Lets just say that this album has nothing to do with this track, as the music captured on tracks like “Theme From Blinking Lights” and “From Which I Came” look more to different eras…
“Lumbering drums, jangling shakers, electronic squiggles, and lots of…ragged shouts accompany the strutting bass line and stomping guitar….it’s all just loose and playful enough to avoid coming across as overly nostalgic.” – Pitchfork Drink Up Buttercup have signed with Yep Roc Records and to celebrate are giving away the single ‘Even Think’, a fast-paced fist-pumper, driven by frenzied organ arpeggios and swelling vocal harmonies reminiscent of the sound of Brian…
QUEENSRYCHE — who have been touring since late March in support of their newest effort American Soldier (Atco/Rhino) — will be taking The Queen of Heavy Metal, Lita Ford, on the road with them for over two dozen dates beginning October 15th (see full itinerary below). Ford will hit the stage during the QUEENSRYCHE set to perform three songs including her Top 10 Billboard hit (performed with Ozzy Osbourne), “Close…
EeL has an intense opening to their “People People†album that mixes amphetamine with vocal samples to come out with something that sounds like a better Dance Dance Revolution song. Immediately shown as a problem is that EeL uses a mite too much repetition to get their songs home; “EeL START IT UP!’s†3:09 should have been condensed to make for a more effecting song. “People People†is a retooling…
Yukon Blonde is Jeff Innes, Brandon Scott, Adam Newton, and Graham Jones – a band from the rolling hills of Kelowna, a city that enjoys, and is cursed by its own burgeoning scene. Going under the name AlphaBaby from early 2005 until late 2008, the band has conquered their fair city and toured through Canada extensively, playing some 300 shows whilst performing alongside bands such as Ladyhawk, The Constantines, Jon-Rae…
Essential pop punk band New Found Glory has just announced a remarkable live pairing with Chris Carrabba’s influential outfit Dashboard Confessional for a one of a kind North America tour with a proceeding headlining run of warm-up dates to kick off the tour in support of their new video & single “Don’t Let Her Pull You Down.” New Found Glory’s recent Epitaph release “Not Without A Fight” is a triumphant…
Bad Veins’ first radio track, “Gold and Warm,” was singled out in Spin magazine as one of September’s “Songs You Must Hear Now!,” praising the boys for flipping, “Pavement’s slacker racket into mainstream magic.” The band’s non-traditional live set-up of telephones, megaphones and a vintage reel-to-reel player named “Irene,” have garnered them much attention, but it’s their undeniable songwriting chops that have made them truly stand out. Or as MTV…
Threading through their music with a dreamy soundscape of guitars, EE creates an introspective style of indie rock that really makes one think. This album, originally released in 2000, has been clamored for since the second that the original run on Curry Records sold out. The plodding nature of the songs on Ramadan, exemplified by the title track, creates this sixties-style of California flavoring felt throughout the entire disc. Opening…
New Orleans’ EYEHATEGOD have spent the last two decades at odds with a corrupt music industry, using their music as a proverbial middle finger aimed at everything from government officials to sanctimonious shitheads hiding behind organized religion. They have defied all odds and continue to exist and persist despite personal and professional setbacks, from drug addiction to natural disasters. In the midst of all this turmoil EYEHATEGOD have become the…

2002, Asian Man Records. Indie rock from the recesses of the scene that is definitely music to be listened to, although it doubles quite well for incidental music. One’s heart is taken for a ride during this CD, as feelings of emotions shine though, making it quite like the proverbial rollercoaster ride. Brilliant flashes of guitars and clashing drums give way to solemn, quiet instrumental tracks. Similar to el gigante,…
Fresh off of their summer-long stint on the Van Warped Tour, Meg & Dia will hit the road for an extensive fall tour with Dashboard Confessional and Never Shout Never. Meg & Dia will tour the East Coast and Midwest with Warner Bros. Records’ label-mates Never Shout Never beginning in October, then continue on with Never Shout Never and New Found Glory as they support Dashboard Confessional on a U.S.…
Now in Summer 2009, Darren, Thomas and Dede have spent the winter playing their songs across Europe and America, including a heavily praised run of shows at SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. Returning to compete and win this year’s Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition, guaranteeing them an appearance on the main stage at this year’s festival and adding more reason to get excited about one of the UK’s finest unsigned bands.…

Aside from being able to purchase the album in advance directly from Feeny’s site, fans can hear a sneak peak of five streaming songs from the full-length.…
This special EP was created to show that even the Editors’ B-Sides and tracks left on the cutting room floor were still better than 99% of indie rock on the market currently. The first track on the disc is “Heads in Bagsâ€, and it shows the lead singer of Editors coming forth with a Morrissey meets Bauhaus approach to things, sounding cold but really being very emotional all at the…
