BRAVO! Cucina Italiana (3265 W Market St, Fairlawn, OH 44333)

There are a number of different BRAVO! Cucina Italiana locations scattered through our normal stomping grounds, but we had yet to visit the restaurant. We stopped into the BRAVO! Cucina Italiana location at the Summit Mall in Fairlawn, Ohio for dinner and had a memorable experience. The meal started with their inimitable herb bread and a spiced olive oil dip. The restaurant’s Calamari Fritti ($12.99) were succulent bites of calamari…

Jason’s Deli (1122 Gemini Pl, Columbus, OH 43240)

Jason’s Deli in Polaris (Columbus, Ohio area) was a surprisingly-impressive experience when one considers that a couple can eat in at the restaurant for around $20. The ordering process is simple and allows for a great variant of customization, no matter whether one orders one of the restaurant’s dishes or chooses to craft their own sandwich. The restaurant has a large amount of freebies, including a bevy of crackers, pickles,…

Zedd Cleveland “True Colors” Tour Stop (Wednesday, September 30th)

The weather has been a little on the wonky side the last few days, but the Jacobs Pavilion is covered and spirits could not be higher for Zedd’s True Colors Tour date Wednesday, September 30th. Current weather seems to portend a normal autumn northeast Ohio night, with 20% chance of rain and a high of 63. The venue is going to run a lot hotter tomorrow night.

The Capital Grille Pittsburgh

We were lucky enough to be invited to The Capital Grille in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (301 Fifth Ave) and made our way into the restaurant a few minutes before our reservation. We were invited into The Capital Grille’s lounge and offered a drink in the few minutes while the restaurant prepared for its 5 PM opening; a smart usage of wood, prominent display of luxurious liquors, and plush seats made the…

Dante Boccuzzi | D.B.A. Restaurant Review

Dante Boccuzzi opened D.B.A. on July 4th, 2011 and is surging into its fourth year of existence well. The restaurant works with local companies to provide the freshest cuisine; the vegetables utilized by D.B.A. have been sourced from Hattie’s Garden. We stopped by to experience the five-course tasting menu of D.B.A. and spent a little over three hours looking out at a scenic view of Akron’s downtown and the valley.…

Burntwood Tavern – Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

The night that we visited the Burntwood Tavern in Cuyahoga Falls we were worried about getting to the restaurant; the sheer amount of rain that was falling made it a challenge to pull in.  Rather than get drenched on the short walk from the car to the entrance, the Burntwood Tavern offers valet parking to keep one out of the crazy northeast Ohio climate.
