Fast-rising doom rock trio BLACK PYRAMID premieres its new music video – for the song “Mirror Messiah” today via The Obelisk. The powerful, straightforward clip was lensed at Massachusetts’ Valley Homegrown and features an audio mix courtesy of Justin Pizzoferrato (Sonic Youth / Witch / Dinosaur Jr.). The “Mirror Messiah” video drops hot on the heels of BLACK PYRAMID’s recent U.S. tour dates in support of its much talked about full length debut Black Pyramid (MeteorCity Records). Check out the video now at this location.

Known for its dynamic sound that blends towering riff cosmos with magnetic psychedelic rock, BLACK PYRAMID has been turning heads in the underground music world since its formation in late 2007; the response to its demo and debut 7″ was such that the unit’s name spread even faster than its music. The band’s instantly agreeable bang and spectacular live shows have pegged it as an “artist to watch” and has garnered the trio an army of loyal enthusiasts. BLACK PYRAMID’s thunderous tone, fire-eating licks, lyrical bent and single-minded devotion to music has drawn comparison to big guns such as Electric Wizard, Torche and the pre-High on Fire band Sleep. Now, the group prepares to prove its potency by bringing its notorious live show to new markets and music fans.

An additional taste of what the BLACK PYRAMID experience holds in store can be sampled now as the paralyzing track “The Cauldron Born” has been posted on http://www.meteorcity.com/Black_Pyramid-The_Cauldron_Born.mp3 .
