Hung: The Complete Third Season (available now on Blu-Ray and DVD formats) captures the final 10 episodes of the show. During this season, Ray and Tanya have to expand the scope of their business. By the time that the show’s finale (“The Whole Beefalo”) ends, the status quo seems destined for a shakeup. The closing episode does conclude things nicely, but I feel that the story of Tanya, Ray, Sandee, Lydia, and Yael could be further expanded. The deleted scenes and alternative ending that is provided to viewers on Hung: The Complete Third Season does a great job of this.

The video quality of Hung: The Complete Third Season’s DVD release is absolutely comparable to the original airings of the show, while the audio is captured in a similarly strong fashion. There are four commentaries laid down by individuals associated with the show; the amount that each go indepth about Hung will provide considerable context for serious and casual fans alike.

HBO has provided viewers with a tremendous amount of additional featurettes. There is a rare look behind the scenes on the Hung set, while viewers can rejoice that there is a full version of the Where is Henry Ford music video. A tongue in cheek walkaround in the Wellness Center finishes out the additional content that is present on this release. Make sure to purchase Hung: The Complete Third Season at an online retailer, as a sub-$25 price can be found if you look deep enough. Each purchase of this season provides further evidence to HBO that they should bring the show back for a fourth season.
