Humboldt-500-BC-Double-IPA

The 500 B.C. has a bouquet of citrus fruits and hops, and pours a ruddy orange into a vessel. For the pour, there is a finger’s worth of off-white head. The warmth that this DIPA provides is substantial, and provides a further indiication of the beer’s 8.3% ABV. The floral and fruit notes of the initial sip open up into a nicely-balanced blend of sweet and bite. A mild hop taste is all that remains after each sip. Humboldt has made a stellar addition to the double IPA style with this effort. A 22-ounce bottle should provide imbibers with just the amount of merry and heat through the rapidly-cooling winter months.

The eminent drinkability of the 500 B.C. ensures that a wide array of beer fans will be able to appreciate the twists and turns that Humboldt has inserted into this effort. Visit their Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/HumboldtBrewingCo for product news, comments, and reviews.

Make sure to visit the Humboldt website for further information about their brews, events, and the various causes which they support. Sales of the 500 B.C. will benefit the ongoing efforts to preserve the coastal redwoods.
