TMZ has reported that Hollywood long-stay Joan Rivers has passed on today, September 4th, 2014. She died at the age of 81, and her death has been confirmed by New York state authorities. Her daughter, Melissa, released this statement: “She passed peacefully at 1:17 PM surrounded by family and close friends. My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Mount Sinai hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother.”
