Bixel Boys have been tapped by Skrillex, along with his independently-run label OWSLA, to bring their aesthetic and creative vision to a limited edition release of collaborative tees and sweaters, available exclusively online. The 3-piece capsule, titled ‘The Night Team Collection,’ continues with Bixel’s signature theme of oversized black garments loudly covered with bold white graphics, more often than not, paying homage to their hometown through cleverly spun reinterpretations of popular sports and cultural logos.
The project has also enlisted the help of long-time friends and LA-based mens fashion label Youth Machine to produce the collection. The tiered release will see its initial launch today, May 14th at Noon PST, available at store.owsla.com, with a second delivery slated for mid Summer. Having already worked up social media into a frenzy through subtle teasers of the collection’s mere existence, the debut is expected to follow suit of all previous FREELIFE releases, selling out almost instantly.
