We really hear a mash-up of Karen Carpenter and Warren Zevon from Kennedy here. The musicianship of Hike Up Your Socks is fantastic; one will be able to play the track multiple times to hear additional nuance with each subsequent listen. Touching, fun, and miles away from the pop fare garnering airplay today, Hike Up Your Socks is a welcome change of pace.
