Roberts whips in a bit of Mickie Avalon and MSI to Looking, keeping things fresh and vibrant. The usage of a dominant synth line to play at the bottom of the track provides the perfect counterpoint for Roberts’ sultry vox. The bright colors of Looking’s video imbues a further air of authenticity to the track. Tremendously reverent of earlier dance music, John Roberts is able to create an effort in Looking that speaks to all fans of electronic.
