In the demonology tome The Lesser Key of Solomon, Paimon is keeper of the secrets of music, art and philosophy. His appearance is heralded by demons in the form of men blaring discordant trumpets and rattling cymbals. In order to receive Paimon’s knowledge, a conjurer must first allow him to ask any question he wishes. “Stones/Salts” reshapes the grim, dissonant riffing and anguished rasp of black metal into a new form that asks questions of the listener before revealing the secrets hidden within its epic structures.

Castevet will be entering PAINcave Studios this September to record their debut full length with engineer Colin Marston (Dysrhythmia, Behold…The Arctopus, Krallice). The album, which is not yet titled, will be seeing a 2010 release.

Castevet will be performing alongside Bone Awl, Ashdautas, and Volahn on 6/17 at Cherry St. Station in Wallingford, CT.
