The silicon valley of India has a very interesting interplay of cultures and cultures. While unique food from all the cultures within India finds sufficient representation in the city, you’ll just as easily find Italian, American, Chinese, and Japanese food fighting for attention. Suffice to say you can find all kinds of food here, but here are 4 restaurants that are a must-try for every foodie.

Yogisthaan

Whether you’re into health-conscious food or not, Yogisthaan will satisfy your taste buds. It offers healthy food options like medicinal teas, organic coffee, fresh salads and juices, and much more. In addition to food, you’ll find yoga classes and an organic shop selling a variety of organic food items. If you like Yogisthaan so much that you want to spend all your time here, you can. There are rooms you can book to stay over.

Despite being in Indiranagar, this restaurant maintains a peaceful atmosphere and usually less crowded. Yogisthaan’s creative decor gives it a calming and positive vibe like no other. You can use this quality to get some work done, read books, play Indian games like Teen Patti, or straight up a take a nap in the hammock.

Hae Kum Gang

If authentic Asian food is what you seek, then that is what you shall get. At Hae Kum Gang. This restaurant serves authentic Korean, Chinese, and Japanese cuisines all under one roof. This homely little place on Castle Street in Ashoknagar is recommended by every Korean food lover in Bengaluru.

You’ll find delicacies like Dolsot Bibim Bap, which is rice topped with prepared veg and served in hot stone pot; Shrimp Donburi, which has rice topped with shrimp fritters and cooked in Japanese style soy sauce; Pork Chulpan, which is made by tender pork meat stir-fried with Korean spicy sauce and vegetables; and a wide of California Rolls like King’s Roll, Dragon Shrimp Roll, Cheesy Salmon Roll, and Kaso Tuna Roll. The simple, homely atmosphere will make for a pleasant experience for sure.

Sanchez

Sanchez is Mexico bought to Bengaluru. It’s the best Mexican-themed restaurant you could ask for. The restaurant’s menu has been specially curated by Chef Vikas Seth, so you can expect a lot of unique choices. You’ll find everything from Burritos, Enchiladas, Fajitas to Ceviches, Nachos, and Taquitos. Chef’s specials include Tamale, Veracruz Fish, Lamb Barbacoa, Chocolate Mole, Habanero Tequila Jumbo Prawns, and Alambres-Mexican Skewers.

You can even order live guacamole-making session right at your tableside. Add to this the retro music and a dim-lit atmosphere and you’ve got yourself a memorable dining experience. Sanchez is located in UB City, and you’ll need to reserve a table if you don’t want to waste time waiting.

Black Pearl

The last one on our list is less focused on cuisine and more on the overall experience of consuming that cuisine. The Black Pearl is India’s largest pirate-themed restaurant and probably the best-themed restaurant in Bengaluru. It’s designed to resemble the famous Black Pearl, Jack Sparrow’s prized ship.

You’re sure to be amazed by the attention to detail — the chairs look like rib cages, bartenders have spooky outfits, krakens hang from the walls, and rope ladders and artificial spider webs are spread throughout the restaurant. Even the menu is pirate-themed; with names like Black Beard’s Ghost, Queen of Heart, Night of Passion, Black Jack, Pirate Treasure, French Pirate in a thong, and Shipwreck. Situated in Koramangala, you’re sure to want to come back here again and again.
