The jury awards in a successful Tylenol lawsuit may be significant. It’s possible that in 2023 these legal conflicts will be addressed. Speak with an experienced lawyer to know more about the Tylenol autism lawsuit.

What Have the Tylenol Autism Cases Alleged?

These latest acetaminophen cases are based on recent scientific research that says taking Tylenol while pregnant may raise the risks of having a child with autism. Due to the research linking the disorders with the use of the drug, parents of autistic children have launched an increasing number of cases against drug producers and sellers. It is also alleged that when the fetus becomes exposed to the drug in the womb, the exposure significantly increases a child’s risk of getting various disorders, including autism. Numerous studies have been conducted to determine the link between the use of the drug and the later development of the disorders. There is a consensus among researchers and scientists, based on the results of those studies that the use of Tylenol increases the risks of getting these diseases significantly.

Considering this, thousands of lawsuits are being filed against the manufacturers and distributors of drugs, alleging that they did not warn the users, including pregnant mothers, about the risks of using the product. In addition to that, they did not warn the healthcare practitioners. They had the moral and legal obligation to properly label the drug packaging, which they did not do so. They failed to fulfill their obligations.

January 11, 2023: Acceptance of Short Form Suit

The court in the Tylenol autism class action granted a Short Form Complaint, allowing new plaintiffs to use it when submitting accusations. The revised claim form will allow claims to be filed directly in the MDL and will streamline the procedure for adding new complaints to the class action.

New Acetaminophen Lawsuit on the 9th of January 2023

A fresh lawsuit was filed against three retail defendants. All of these defendants were the retail giants, including CVS Pharmacy Inc., Walgreens Boots Alliance, and Walmart Inc. It was alleged that all of these retailers had an involvement in the creation, labeling, and distribution of acetaminophen to other retail brands, according to the Tylenol case. The plaintiff asserts that using these drugs while pregnant changed the growth and development of the fetus and caused her child’s autism.

The plaintiff in this acetaminophen lawsuit alleges that these three retailers did not warn her or the health care practitioners about the issues associated with the use of the drug while pregnant. The retail failed to adequately warn the users about the connection of drugs with the development of autism.

Since it’s a developing scenario, people can expect a lot more lawsuit cases against the manufacturers of the drug in the coming years. Fortunately, there are legal resources who can not only help file a lawsuit but also guide you in other aspects of the case.
