For this track they’ve gone all slowed down dub, with the sexy, nighttime vibe of Peaking Lights. The video for “Golden Love” was directed by DM BROS (who have produced all of Las Kellies’ videos). If The Sweeney has a very 70’s-cop-drama-feel that’s for good reason – it was based on the 70’s British TV show of the same name. This updated version gives a nod to greats of the genre like Serpico and French Connection, but also owes a debt to more modern classics like Layer Cake and even Reservoir Dogs (minus the gore). The movie follows a group of London detectives that are part of the cloistered Flying Squad that investigates…
The Bowflex UpperCut will present users with a wide variety of exercises for when the gym is closed or otherwise out of reach (inclement weather, lack of transportation). The UpperCut can be locked in a variety of positions to work out one’s chest, arms, core, and legs. In fact, the ability of the UpperCut to be moved into numerous configurations makes it easy for individuals to create their own workouts.…
The London-based band’s debut album, The Circle and The Blue Door, is set for an April 30 release via Metal Blade/Rise Above Records. Decibel Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Albert Mudrian dubbed the album the “best debut of 2013” and overseas outlets like the BBC (“a modern demonic sound”), Terrorizer (“their brand of gothic psychedelia is set to take 2013 by storm”) and Subterranea/Metal Hammer (“Purson are the UK’s new ambassadors for the…
Tokkyo Nutrition Protein is some of the best protein that we have received for review in NeuFutur. The inclusion of 5 grams of BCAAs in each serving decreases the chance that lean muscle will be catabolized after the completion of a workout, while the blend of whey protein concentrate and isolate (22 grams in total) allows a body to properly be replenished each time that they supplement with the…
HIT Supplements has provided purchasers with a full complement of inclusions to increase energy, provide laser-like focus, and increase the overall health of those that are supplementing with this pre-workout. The BCAAs found in Igniter Extreme decrease the potential for lean muscle gains to be catabolized, while the Creatine Monohydrate here allows for the muscles to be packed on. As far as pre-workouts go, the sheer amount of energy that…
When I was taking graduate courses, a number of my fellow students would put down a tape recorder and capture the entirety of the class’s discussion. In the few years since I ended these classes, the technology that these recorders utilized have increased considerably. Where earlier generations of recorders were fuzzy and recorded vocals poorly, the Philips Digital Voice Tracer 1000 will ensure that a whole dialogue can be easily…
Black and Blue opens up Undertow, and this bit of stronger singer-songwriter is able to provide listeners with a style wholly unique yet familiar. Lovelie’s vocals blend perfectly with the precise instrumentation that bounces through pop, rock, and even alternative music before the track ends. Fire & Icicles shifts Lovelie’s vocals into a more rock style, while the quality of the instrumentation continues to impress. Every guitar line and drum…
The OnBeat X1 is a tremendously useful piece of technology, and possesses a price point (about $40) that makes it eminently purchasable by anyone that has a Bluetooth-capable phone. The size of the OnBeat X1 is small enough that it will fit perfectly in a bookbag, while the lack of weight does not decrease the clarity of its playback. In fact, the inclusion of vibration bass adds further complexity…
San Francisco-based sludge-mangling duo BLACK COBRA will uncoil across the country in Brooklyn this week for a devastating one-off show as part of the diverse Brain-Cave Festival. The annual festival showcases an incredible array of artists of all natures from around Brooklyn and abroad for four days. Our favorite living, loving legend (she’s just a woman), Baby Dee is no stranger to the road – her vaudevillian soul has been spirited all over the world, performing in any situation your mind could muster. Like situations involving monkeys, unicycles and a one-eyed dwarf, if you know what we’re saying. Lucky for all of us North Amerikaners, Yanks and Canucks alike, Dee‘s revving her engines for a quick dash…

This summer, in celebration of their recent collaboration, What the Brothers Sang, Dawn McCarthy and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy hop on the “Milk Train” to take their show on the road– performing live at various places of public assembly! In true Dawn and Bonnie fashion, they’re covering as many hot-zones with hot cover songs (and more, natch!) as possible, including festivals, venues, a town hall, and a historic synagogue. Accompanying them…
On a good month, we receive about 10 different action / martial arts titles. There are a number of companies that focus on providing these movies for the English market. Many of them are atrocious, but Woochi Demon Slayer is so much better than the average action fare that it is not funny. The key reason for this distinction comes in the quality of the script; the plot will…
Left of the Right Direction begins Ain’t That A Shame, establishing Winslow as an incredibly taut act. Nothin’s Easy further solidifies the technical ability of the band. Quarter Life showcases the emotional intensity of the band. While the CD has focused on their deft blend of pop and soulful rock, I feel that there is considerable emotional content that will increase the replay value of this album considerably. While listeners…
