Incoming Transmission is a strong and emphatic introduction to City Light Vigil’s newest album, Under A Bright Shining Light. The forceful riffs, supersonic vocals, and unity amongst the constituent elements of the band make for something that will immediately bring listeners to the edges of their seat. Hints of the pop-punk of the early-oughts acts like Sum 41 and Blink 182 can be heard here, but there is a more…
We have a considerable alcohol and spirits section at NeuFutur Magazine as well as a health food section so having a low profile blender or food processor is an absolutely vital part of our headquarters. Previously we had a run of the mill blender that died a short while ago and decided to move towards a more commercial grade product. The Waring XTREME Variable Speed Blender (MX1200RXT) is a commercial…
We have received Hopothermia from Alaskan Brewing. Hopothermia is an imperial India Pale Ale looking to bridge the gap between India Pale Ales and the hop bombs that typically come forth out of the West Coast tradition. This means that there is a strong hop presence to this beer but one that is moderated through a decent amount of wheat and malt elements. Hopothermia pours with a yellow coloration and a fair…

The hefeweizen style is one that a number of breweries do but only a few of them do well. There is a belief held between the wife and I that for many of the day to day things that we do, the sort of chores that we have out in public do not require clothing that is the fancy and formal side. If we are going out to pick up a takeaway meal for example why not be comfortable? The sad fact is a great many of the…

I come from a tradition where a good vacuum cleaner is heavy, difficult to move and is absolutely unwieldy. I half expected the Powerhead has to be a device that will pick up small bits and pieces off of our floors but not have much use beyond as a simple dusting apparatus. When we actually had a moment to evaluate the vacuum we were pleasantly surprised at the sheer amount…
Over the course of the last few years pumpkin beer has been all the rage and the simple fact is that the market is incredibly beyond capacity. With any brewery ready to reap incredible rewards by creating their own gourd-based beer it seems that every other effort that one sees in the fall season has something to do with pumpkin. As a result a great many of these are forgettable…
