edIT Announces North American Tour With The Glitch Mob

Certified Air Raid Material Dropping All Throughout the USA and Canada

After finishing up his residency at LA’s already legendary Low End Theory club night, recently rocking the crowds of thousands at Burning Man (!) and Red Rocks, and completing his long-anticipated sophomore release Certified Air Raid Material; edIT is ready to shakes asses across the continent with the innovative crunk of The Glitch Mob in tow. Hitting venues big and small, edIT and the Glitch Mob will bring their unique amalgam of forward-looking hip-hop and meticulously manicured electronica to the masses kicking things off at the freakfest that is Symbiosis at Angel’s Camp, CA and wrapping up at Pop Montreal 2007 before heading back to their SoCal homebase.

All fixtures on the West Coast’s underground electronic music scene, producers Ooah, Kitty D, Boreta, Kraddy, and edIT himself, came together one night in an experiment in collaboration, opened their laptops, and The Glitch Mob was born. Deconstructing the standard notions of performance and genre, The Glitch Mob creates a fully immersive, novel experience for their audiences. No genre is off limits as they take it all, interweave and remix it live, add their own sounds, recomposing everything on the fly. Less than a year in existence, The Glitch Mob crew has already shared the stage alongside Diplo, Prefuse 73, Dabrye, Richard Devine, Modeselektor, Telefon Tel Aviv, Plaid, Hank Shocklee, and more.

Released by LA’s most daring indie imprint Alpha Pup, edIT’s Certified Air Raid Material will be released in stores Oct. 9, 2007 but will be available digitally Sept. 17, 2007.

“In the age of robots, dragons, wizards and neon lights, edIT is bringing the future even further into the future; in other words for noises you never heard before look no further” -URB
