Sensational Praise and Worship choir Shekinah Glory Ministry (SGM) is riding high on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs Chart at # 3 with their hit song Jesus, from the live double CD of the same name while their Kingdom Records label-mate Phil Tarver joins them on the Billboard Charts with his single Mighty God from his new disc Draw Nearer (Kingdom Records/Universal). Kingdom Records continues to raise the bar for a pure praise and worship experience by recording music that is timeless, not trendy, sung by singers who are servants, who worship weekly at their home church and are not recording artists in the usual sense. SGM’s home church is Valley Kingdom Ministries International (VKMI) in Oak Forest, Illinois (a south suburb of Chicago).
In the 4 months since its release, SGM’s Jesus has had a home at the top of the Billboard Gospel Chart, debuting at number 2 before hitting number 1 in its third week and never dropping below number 9.
Elder Phil Tarver is the Praise and Worship Leader of Shekinah Glory Ministry and now has a breakout hit of his own.

Jesus is SGM’s third live praise and worship double CD, their debut, released in 2001 was Praise is What I Do was certified Gold by RIAA and is reaching Platinum. Ultimately, the CD received local, national and international success and was included on the WOW Gospel 2003 CD which was certified Gold and Platinum. SGM’s second live praise and worship double CD, SHEKINAH GLORY MINISTRY LIVE, was released in 2005 and immediately hit the Billboard charts where it remained for 103 weeks and is reaching gold status. Praise and worship songs from this release, including Yes and How Deeply I Need You continue to be played across the nation on independent and syndicated radio stations. SHEKINAH GLORY MINISTRY LIVE garnered SGM the nomination as a finalist for the 2005-06 Stellar Awards in the category of “Choir of the Year.”
