Continuing with the week of firsts, this is the first fitness DVD that we at NeuFutur have had the chance to review. The story line behind this is funny – I had originally thought that Jillian Michaels was Jillian Hall, performer for the WWE. While it would not be outside the realm of the possibility, it was interesting to say the least. For those of you that are not in the know, Jillian Michaels is a personal trainer, and was the personal trainer that was prominently featured on the television show “The Biggest Loser”.

 “30 Day Shred” is Michael’s plan to ensure a slimmer, more healthy, and slimmer you. The workout is not too terribly long – the entire DVD only clocks in at an hour – and the exercises that are contained within are simplistic enough to allow even individuals that have largely been sedentary for an extended period of time the ability to finish a work out. This type of exercise tape is more beneficial to individuals than the latest fad diet due to the fact that it is based on tried and true methods to ensure weight loss, rather than through legalized form of speed or other scientifically unproven medications.

While I am more into the weight training type of exercises, I still see a tremendous amount of use out of Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred. It provides the person shock to my body after during those days where I take a day off from the weights. Here’s to hoping that subsequent days, months, and years will allow Michaels to make more in the way of these videos, to give individuals a more challenging workout or to tailor this workout for individuals of different age groups and mobilities. The strongest facet about Michaels is the fact that ey understands where a lot of individuals are coming from; it was in the early part of eir life that Michaels struggled with weight as an issue. This means that there are no assumptions made about the level of the individual created from someone that has never had to deal with the problems that individuals currently deal with. Give the disc a go if you wish to become more healthy, to increase your tone, or just to get back into shape after a long winter or a year off from exercising. I am sure that you will see some form of results.

  1. I’ve watch some videos of Jillian Michaels and really the process and the exercises really into getting fit and works all over the body. I’ll definitely have that DVD. That is a must have in my list.
