Susan L. Yasinski, known to her fans world wide as Susan SurfTone, has been playing guitar since she was nine years old. “I started taking lessons with a great teacher who introduced me to The Ventures and there was no turning back. There was one problem, however — in 1964 the boys wouldn’t let a girl play guitar in their garage bands.” But she’s never put the guitar down and now boasts a discography of more than ten full-length albums plus inclusion to countless internationally released compilations.

Radio DJ at WMFO (Medford, MA), Alex Piandes, enthuses “Susan’s guitar work is outstanding. I’d have to say on a par with Dick Dale.”

Producer Steve Kravac is best know for his work with MxPx (RIAA Gold Record), Less Than Jake, Royal Crown Review and more recently with Jerra and c.e. lane featuring Zander Schloss (Joe Strummer, The Weirdos). He cut his teeth at Westcoast Recorders (owned by Brett Gurewitz/Epitaph Records), which inlcuded work on an early track by Blink 182 that sold 400,000 units!

Susan SurfTone and Steve Kravac will enter Jackpot! Recording Studio, in Portland, Oregon on July 21, 2011. The studio has hosted sessions for artists such as Elliott Smith, Quasi, Stephen Malkmus, The Gossip, Sleater-Kinney, Eddie Vedder, The Decemberists, R.E.M., Sonic Youth, Spoon and The Shins over its fourteen-year history. Studio owner, Larry Crane, is also founder and editor of Tape Op Magazine.
