Brooke White and Jack Matranga are thrilled to announce the release of their debut EP, GEMINI. Set for an August 30th digital release on June Baby Records, these two talented musicians, together known as Jack and White, have created a compelling and memorable six-song collection full of skilled pop songwriting, luminous guitar picking and warm vocal melodies reminiscent of the Buckingham/Nicks pairing of the 70’s.

What started as a blind setup to co-write a song for Brooke’s next solo record, the two musicians found an instantaneous creative chemistry and common love of music; from original Fleetwood Mac blues cuts, to the production masterpieces of ELO, and the beautiful organic harmonies of Simon and Garfunkel. With this intense appreciation for songs way beyond their years, they were inspired to get to work right away. Within the first few hours, the duo wrote their first song, which then turned into six songs with a distinct identity all their own, prompting these two free spirits to create GEMINI.

“When I sat down with Brooke, it was clear from the beginning that all we cared about was creating awesome music and nothing else,” said Jack. “Songwriting can be labor at times, but we were creating so quickly because we didn’t need to force anything.” Brooke shares the same sentiment, “The songwriting process flowed so naturally. There was a freedom to express creatively without fear. We weren’t over-thinking. It was completely instinctual. A collaboration like this is a rarity.”

While the two of them have spent years on their own endeavors, Brooke and Jack find themselves traveling on the same path, brimming with an energy and positivity for the future. And this magic shines through this self-produced, labor of love known as GEMINI.
