GRAMMY®-nominated singer/songwriter Miguel has another hit record on his hands! The ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records “e-clectric” singer/songwriter notched his second #1 record at urban radio with his single “Quickie,” a follow up to his #1 summer hit “Sure Thing” off his critically acclaimed debut album All I Want Is You. The MTV buzz worthy Push artist has received over 1,000 spins from the MTV Networks and has been described as a “smooth, silky blend of R&B, pop and rock” by pop culture site Idolator.

“Quickie” is a roots-reggae influenced fantasy of a one-night stand Miguel wrote after watching a mystery woman wind at the club. “‘Quickie’” is a really special record for me because it marks my personal renaissance. Up until then, I was known as the great guy, the little brother that girls would come to for advice,” Miguel explains. “But there was something about that night—maybe it was because I was underage at an over-21 venue doing adult things—that opened me up. I went home under the influence of alcohol and inspiration and I wrote.”

Chosen as a BET Music Matters artist and nominated as Best New Artist for the network’s awards show, Miguel has been described as “a cross between Prince and D’Angelo” by Perez Hilton, while also topping Rolling Stone’s Hot List and performing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Live with Regis and Kelly.

Miguel has recently participated as a performer in The Madison Square Garden Company’s Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit charity that helps make dreams come true for kids facing obstacles. He has also been chosen by GREY GOOSE to be featured as one of their Rising Icons, which honors the spirit of creative excellence by recognizing new artists.
