The “Panic” music video cinematically depicts an apocalyptic blackout! What was the brainstorming process for the music video’s concept?

Panic is the main featured song in the new Y2K comedy film called Millennium Bugs.  We wanted to have the video relate to the goofy fear-of-the-apocalypse way the characters are portrayed in the film.

What has the experience in the New York rock underground scene been like? Is there a favorite moment or performance you can share?

I’m not even sure how there’s an NYC rock underground left If apartment rentals are $67,433 a month and only trust fund kids can live here . Rich people should only be patrons of the underground, not participate in it.  This is basic fact.  That being said – the history of NYC underground rock is rich and deep.  RESPECT

That being said – my favorite moment was when Torque had to wear Depends on stage due to some dysentery problems.  (Ate some apparently rancid Guyanese Curry before the gig).  Clean up was awful of course but he still kept playing until the end of the gig.  A true hero!

What was it like working with director Alejandro Montoya Marin again for the “Panic” music video? How was the experience different from working on “Millennium Bugs”?

Alejandro is a genius and a true artist.  He works quickly, efficiently and creates a joyous atmosphere on set.  Most people are not capable of that.  It’s of course very different to shoot a video for a song, than to write the song for a film.  Completely different processes.

How would you like Carbon County’s tracks to impact the music industry and fans?

We don’t care about the music industry.  We’d rather impact the wedding industry and have Panic played at every wedding across the nation.  Now that would actually be interesting!

To our fans:  We appreciate you being genius critical thinkers with excellent taste.  Buy our merch.

What is next for Carbon County? Are there any messages or upcoming projects to share with fans?

We have been invited by the Sultan of Oman to play at a United Nations music festival representing the United States of America.  We may or may not participate but either way it’s always nice to be asked.  Also – does anyone know if we can get a cruise ship gig to travel to Oman?  Looking to cover expenses.
