Quebecois Power Trio Genticorum Hits US in January

Genticorum will be touring the US in January in support of their upcoming album La Bibournoise (dates below). Like old world storytellers, Genticorum spins Quebecois tales of mischief and a few of heartbreak and lament. Though well studied in the Quebecois tradition, they don’t take themselves too seriously. This is evident in their unique combination of sounds and storytelling, and a band name that comes from a nonsensical word.

Adolfo Lazo – On Tape (CD)

“Rey de Espana” has a throaty, bass introduction to “On Tape” that showcases the ability of Raza to create a dense track that will open up to reveal something new each time that listeners place “On Tape” in their players.
