Greg Ryder left his beloved Wisconsin as a very young man. A skier and entertainer, he eventually set down roots in Durango, Colorado, where he was inspired to revive the songs of the Old West and to begin to record his original songs, based on his own life and the history of the Old West.

He writes what he know best. He was the son of a dairy farmer in Wisconsin. He is a survivor of the Bar Wars. He has loved and lost. He is not afraid to write about the injustice in the world, nor about heartache, nor about human mortality. His first two CDs are original music; the third is traditional American Western music. Watch for new music releases in the coming years.

You can see him perform in Durango at the Diamond Belle Saloon or at The Office Spiritorium, both in the historic Strater Hotel, or at private guest ranches in the summers.
