GREEN RIVER ORDINANCE ANNOUNCES SUMMER DATES WITH KRIS ALLEN

As Lone Star state rock quintet Green River Ordinance wrapped up their spring headlining tour on May 6 in Los Angeles, they were joined at the Troubadour by friends David Cook, Angel Taylor, and Matt Hires. The group wastes no time as it prepares to return to the road in support of their current single “On Your Own,” the follow up to “Come On” which reached Top 15 on the Adult Top 40 chart. The boys will link up with Kris Allen for the month of June, and the Goo Goo Dolls for the month of August, adding to an impressive start to the year. The band dropped its second single ‘On Your Own’ on April 12 and the song has already been heard on TV shows like The Hills, The Young And The Restless and So You Think You Can Dance.

So far this year the band has announced a charity project to benefit five charities of their choice throughout 2010 called thehopeGROs.com, participated in VHI’s Best Cruise Ever along side hosts 3 Doors Down with Lifehouse and Shinedown, and even penned an inspirational tune called ‘Rise Up’ included on the 2010 Winter Olympics Compilation.

‘A pop-rock act to keep an eye on in 2010,’ according to Billboard, you can catch Green River Ordinance performing nonstop high-energy sets through the summer on the heels of their successful EMI/Virgin Records debut, Out Of My Hands. The boys have past dates with Counting Crows, Train, Third Eye Blind, Gavin DeGraw and Collective Soul under their belts and have even set a record for most CDs sold at The Nokia Theater in NYC—a testament to their unparalleled live experience.
