Iron Man: Rise of Technovore is a movie-sized animated feature, and the title contains the same dedication to detail and impressive technology that has been part of the Iron Man mythos. The title surrounds a terrorist attack on Stark Industries and the resultant mission undertaken by Iron Man to quash this rebel group. A full complement of Marvel Universe heroes are present here, with Black Widow, Hawkeye, The Punisher, War Machine, and Nick Fury all having guest star roles. I feel that the distinction between the characters is shown nicely on Iron Man: Rise of Technovore, rather than having a set of characters possessing more or less the same superhero abilities. As such, every hero has their own role in the progression of the plot and are required to bring the title to its conclusion.

The animation style blends current American trends with classic eastern tropes like large robots and a dichotomy between harsh mechanical and softer organic elements. The Blu-Ray of Iron Man: Rise of Technovore comes with the feature on Blu-Ray and Ultraviolet formats, along with countless pictures from the pre-animation process and a ten-minute featurette about the shift from comic to bleeding-edge animation. This Blu-Ray completes with a full-on expose about S.H.I.E.L.D. and how their portrayal differs from the comics to television screens.

Make sure to purchase a copy of Iron Man: Rise of Technovore from any well-stocked local video store or from any of a complement of online retailers. As the press for the upcoming Iron Man movie continues to build until its May release date, Iron Man: Rise of Technovore represents the perfect purchase for anyone that is clamoring for anything to do with Tony Stark.
