There have been a number of beers that have attempted to include different flavors into the mix (pizza, donuts, bacon), but have failed to make an alluring beer. Bergers Cookies is a Baltimore institution, and Full Tilt has utilized their cookies to create a beer that is eminently drinkable while having enough of a left-field approach to really elicit attention. The beer pours with a tannish head that creates lace with each sip, on top of an incredibly dark brown / black body. The 6.0% ABV of the beer provides the slightest of burns, ensuring that all segments of the beer are enticing and balanced. The beer warms up nicely, providing imbibers with the same rich and velvety (but balanced) taste.
The sweet elements are moderated nicely by a nice malt level, while the bitterness of the cocoa is able to provide a much more nuanced side to the Berger Cookie Chocolate Stout.
Make sure too visit the Full Tilt website for more information about their year-round and seasonal offerings. If you are in the Baltimore (Maryland) area, visit their event tab for information concerning their tap takeovers and launch parties for their latest brews.
