Josh Collins is able to make a heart-felt and touching effort in “Hold You Back”. The track needs little more than Josh’s vocals and guitars. There is an honest and organic feel that is cultivated during this track that gradually is spun out into a wholly engrossing bit of pop-rock. The rough-hewn approach to the track’s production makes each line and each note resound long after Hold You Back ceases. Josh Collins has made something that a wide swath of fans can like while fostering one of the most musically proficient tracks we’ve heard so far this year.
