There are countless ways to make money on the internet. In this article, I’ll be talking about one of my favorite online earning methods: using survey sites. These sites are really easy to use, and some pay pretty well. But not all survey sites are created equal. There are quite a few shady survey sites out there. They key is to pick a site that is legit. And by legit, I mean a site that will pay you for all the time and effort you put invest in them. I’ll be sharing my top survey site(s) at the end of this article, so make sure you stay all the way to the end.
Making Money with Survey Sites
Members of survey sites get paid for – as the name already implies – answering surveys. But most survey sites have other earning options aside from just answering surveys. On most sites, you will also be able to earn by watching videos or completing offers.
Most sites will award you points whenever you complete answering a survey, watching a video, or completing an offer. Once you’ve reached a certain amount of points – which varies from site to site – you will be able to trade those points for cash or gift cards. This payment system seems pretty standard, but some sites will process payments faster, or have more gift card options. Like I mentioned at the start of this article, I’ll be telling you which site I think is the best, based on how fast it processes payments, and its payout options.
The Lowdown on Survey Sites
You’re probably wondering why a site would pay you for doing those tasks. Chances are, you already enjoy answering surveys (who doesn’t?) or watching videos online. Well, survey sites work with corporate clients to distribute surveys and other content to their members. The client pays the survey site. And since the site gets paid, it can incentivize participation by offering payouts and rewards. It’s a win-win situation.
Legit survey sites will only work with reputable clients. Doing so helps the survey site stay in business, and it enables the site to pay its members. Working with bigger clients will enable the survey site to provide bigger payouts, of course. That is one of the factors I considered when coming up with my recommendation for which survey site you should try.
The Advantage of Using a Survey Site
Survey sites offer members an easy way to earn money and rewards. Most of us already love answering surveys. Actually getting paid to take surveys sounds like a pretty great deal. The longer and more complex a survey is, the more money you will earn by completing it. But generally, these surveys are pretty simple, and involve which types of products and services you like to use.
Watching videos are even easier. All you have to do is keep videos playing. I’m a big fan of passive earning (which this is) because it enables you to earn money while doing other tasks. For example, if you work in an office, you can play videos on your phone to earn a bit of extra money. You can also play videos during idle times, like during your commute or while you’re waiting in line at the grocery check-out.
The money you’ll make through survey sites won’t make you rich. But that’s okay. I doubt survey sites – at least the legit ones – are designed to make you rich. You can expect to make decent pocket money, though. That money will be useful when doing the groceries, or out shopping. And you know what? That’s perfectly fine with me.
Chances are, a survey site is a scam if it makes outrageous claims about the amount of money you can make using it. Nobody – and I mean nobody – will be able to afford a new house or a luxury vacation by answering a survey. These sites will most likely try to steal your information or request a “processing fee” for you to get your earnings. So, yeah. Stay away from sites that make crazy promises. If it sounds too good to be true, chances are it is.
My Recommendation
Okay, here’s my recommendation. I actually have two: GrabPoints and ZoomBucks. Both sites are owned and operated by the same company, from the looks of it. But GrabPoints has been around longer – it’s been around since 2014, I believe. That’s a pretty big deal, since the survey site is pretty crowded. So the company that manages these two sites must be doing something right. And speaking of doing something right, here are the reasons why I recommend GrabPoints and ZoomBucks:

On both sites, you can request a payout when you’ve earned at least 3,000 points (worth $3 in real-world money). That’s a pretty easy target to reach. You won’t have to wait long periods of time wondering if you’ll even get your earnings. From the time you make a request to the time you get your earnings is only two days.
