Alpha Cat’s All In Your Head has a truly timeless feel to it. This song is able to build upon the framework of R.E.M. as well as Jellyfish. There’s a tremendous amount of charisma that drips off each of the lyrics, while the dynamic created between the guitar and drums makes the vox pop. The song is varied as all get out, all while Alpha Cat are able to corral these disparate elements into something engrossing and endearing. We’re particularly enamored with the song’s final minute and change. The act is able to spin the track off in a fun, more vocal-heavy fashion while keeping within the framework initially established during the song’s first half.
