You need to stay active on your Instagram account to ensure that people look up to you to learn new trends and gain information about new things. However, it is important to know how often to post to get new followers and likes. Likes are important, and one simple idea is to buy Instagram likes monthly. But, it is not going to take you far because eventually the quality of your posts matter. Therefore, it makes sense to do some research and determine the frequency of your posts to get desired results.

How Often To Post

Well, as a beginner you may be having plethora of questions in your mind – like how to take best pictures, how to get more followers, what kind of hashtags to use or even – what the heck does “hashtag” mean? If you are wondering about these, you are in the right direction! Taking great pictures could be a challenge initially, but even when you have the right images, you need to post them at regular intervals. How often, you may ask. It might be tough to take a call on this – but your business goals and your audience are some factors to consider while deciding on it.

Having said this, no one strategy works every time. Some businesses run successfully even with one post per week or even month, and some businesses post like ten times a day and get good engagements though the posts alone. The ultimate goal is to get maximum followers by posting good content.

So, How Does It All Work?

  1. Your Goals

What’s your motive behind posting the pictures?

You have to understand that different Instagram users are online because of different motives. You need to sit and identify your purpose of being on Instagram. Do you want to increase your following and brand awareness? – If the answer is yes, then more posts is the way to go. The more content you put, the higher the chances of you getting better visibility.

On the other hand, do you want to promote a product or something specific? If that is the case, you need to stop and recheck your marketing strategy. In most cases, it is important to post one or two strategic and meaningful photos, once a week to get good results.

You can always increase or decrease the frequency based on the response you are getting, but do not do it too often. This may confuse your followers, and they may skip some important posts by you!

The bottom line here is that you should know what role your goal plays in what you do on Instagram and then decide your strategy on the number of posts.

  1. Another Important Point To Consider Is Consistency.

Your followers should know the pattern of your posts. E.g., if you are posting new content every Monday for three weeks, your followers will be expecting content from you on the 4th Monday too! If suddenly, you break the flow, you may lose some important followers, and per post engagement may reduce. Follow a pattern consistently and inform if you are going to change it.

This is also true for the other way around. Let’s say you post some new content every month. If you suddenly start posting 2 contents per day, your followers may feel spammed by the sudden rush of feeds! They may feel that your posts are occupying too much of their scrolling space!

  1. Check How Followers Respond To Your Posts

Some posts may get more responses, and some may get. It also depends on the timing of the post. For example, more people may open their Instagram on weekends and scroll at leisure than on office days. You can post specific contents on those days when you see that more people see Instagram.

The fact of the matter is that there is no single answer to how frequently you should be posting on Instagram.  As a beginner, you can see how people respond to different posts and which ones get the maximum response. Once you have experimented with that, you can set your post frequency accordingly.
