In the fast-paced world that we live in, we are all looking to have items in our home that will simplify our daily lives, and by simplify, we mean help us save time.

If you work long hours and are looking for household appliances that will make your life convenient, here is a list:

Dishwasher

Instead of coming home every day to dirty dishes, you could consider investing in a dishwasher, where all you have to do is put in all your used dishes, water, and soap into the dishwasher. The washer will then wash all your dishes for you. A dishwasher is like a washing machine for your utensils. They are often expensive, costing upwards of Rs.10,000, however, they are a one-time investment and do not need to be replaced for a long time. Buying them during festive seasons will cost you less.

Washing Machine

Most of us who wash our clothes ourselves do not do it on a daily basis. We wash them once or twice a week or simply subscribe to laundry service. These may not be long-term solutions. Getting a washing machine will simplify this whole process and save you time. Buying a washing machine with a dryer makes more sense so your clothes will dry faster, even during rainy seasons. Washing machines can also be expensive, however, if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, you could rent a washing machine. There are many online websites that offer them on rent with warranty and free delivery. The prices vary depending on whether you want a semi-automatic or fully automatic model. Prices start around Rs.400 per month.

Microwave

This is especially useful for those who cook once a day and heat their meals as and when required. Reheating food on the stove constantly might be cumbersome. You could consider purchasing a microwave for conveniently heating food. Prices start around Rs.4,000 depending on the model and features. However, microwaves are no longer just for heating. There are many simple recipes specifically made to be cooked in microwaves, several under 10 minutes of cooking time.

Water Purifier

Unlike the water in many other countries, tap water in India is not clean enough to drink. There are many water-borne diseases such as cholera, typhoid fever, diarrhoea, etc. that can be contracted from drinking impure water. Installing a water purifier in your home offers a layer of protection from the germs that can make their way to your body through the water you drink. The cost will once again depend on the make and model, but since this is a health issue, it is better to go for a reputable brand with good features. This could cost you upwards of Rs.6,000. You could also consider getting a water purifier on rent with prices as low as Rs.350 per month.

These appliances will surely help you save time while completing your household chores, time that you can use on other aspects of your life.
