As an employer, it is your responsibility to make sure that the space(s) in which your employees work is safe and does not negatively impact their physical health or mental wellbeing. 3. Give employees better compensation
One of the simplest and most obvious ways to improve your show of care for employees is to pay them well. The cost of living varies from country to country, city to city, town to town, and dwelling to dwelling. However, what does not change is the fact that we all need money to pay rent and buy food and other essentials. So, if you truly want to take care of your employees, you need to pay them wages that are above the legal requirement and minimum wage. If employees know that their employers truly value them, they are more likely to be motivated to work well, hard, and productively. Other reasons why you should pay your employees well include:
- Helping recruitment – if you want to attract the best and brightest talent, you can only realistically do so if you offer good pay. If you fail to do this, potential employees are more likely to work for a different company that is able to meet their financial wants, needs, and requirements.
- Retaining employees – as well as recruiting them, if you want your employees to keep working for the company, you must give them the correct financial incentives to do so.
