AV Super Sunshine’s “Star Man” is a contemplative progressive rock track that ties together Jethro Tull and Donovan with hints of Nirvana’s Lake of Fire (Meat Puppets) cover. Bold vocals work alongside a ropy and intricate bass line and enough atmosphere to provide a solid highlight to the narrative laid out. The idealized space-rock of David Bowie comes through in a major fashion with Star Man. With classical strings playing at the bottom of the track, AV Super Sunshine make Star Man into a track that must be played multiple times before hearing everything that has been included.
