So,
coolness is a purely subjective measurement and in a lot of ways trying to
decide the coolest of something is one of those things that’s going to be
bogged down in opinions VS cold hard objective fact. But never let something
like “an inability to be impartial” stand in the way of deciding what is the
coolest of any given subject. Let’s take an abstract example, so casino games –
you could decide which is your favourite based on personal experience, based on
your knowledge of the odds or based on something like how many tables there are
to play on. Or you could decide based on which one looks the coolest and you
think you’d look cool playing.
So which is coolest?
Blackjack
Right off the bat we have a game which is cool enough to warrant a
movie but don’t let that fool you! As good as Blackjack seems, it isn’t the
coolest game and there’s one major reason why – just so much maths. You need to
be really good at numbers to be good at Blackjack and while that IS pretty
cool, it’s both all in your head and sort of a nerd thing to be good at. This
is offset by the fact that Blackjack has the lowest house edge and winning a
lot of chips looks pretty cool no matter how you slice it so we can file this
one under a strong contender. But it’s bit slow-paced, bit dull to watch so
let’s see if we can do better.
Slots
Slots is a similar deal, it’s not all that interesting unfortunately
for the observer but it regains points for the player. As we have previously
established, it’s cool to win and if you win big then it’s even cooler – and
when it comes to Slots, big wins are par for the course! Well, if you’re
exceptionally lucky that is. In reality, you’re more likely to win a few small
pots as you play and could end up slightly ahead with a bit of luck. But the massive
world changing jackpots are fairly rare so probably not what you’d expect to
walk out with. Slots is probably not going to anyone’s winner here though, just
because the cool flashy visuals and thrill of the bonuses is lessened by how it

is to watch.
Roulette
Here we go! This is probably the top contender – when you play roulette
you get to spin the wheel, watch the ball bounce and feel the anticipation as
it spins and spins until you see the ball drop into a slot and confirms whether
or not you’ve won it all. This exhilarating game is both fun to play, fun to watch
