As I am writing this, there is a steady downfall of snow. The amount of activities that are available to me right now are at an all-time low, as it will be days before the county starts to unbury us. The rest of the week does not portend to be much better, with another 5 to 8 inches of snow slated to drop in short order. There’s not a lot of hiking or shopping at local stores that will be done until things clear up. Below, I have provided a list of activities that you can do that will not require you to leave the comfort of your own home.

Remote Tabletop Role Playing Games

Many of us have had to become incredibly familiar with Zoom and other tools over the course of the last year. There’s nary a day that goes by that I am not on some sort of call or am recording something on a live meeting service. Fortunately, there’s a way to make use of these services for fun. The Dungeons and Dragons main portal provides a number of ways to coordinate a campaign that can be done over the course of days or months when everyone kicks on their favorite streaming software and rolls their own characters.

Knitting

Hear me out – knitting is a good way to remove the stresses of everyday life. More so, it’s something that can provide some object at the end of one’s session. Whether it is a scarf to brave a winter element or a big ole throw to drape on top of yourself while streaming the latest show on Netflix, reaping the benefits of a stitch and bitch are numerous

Computer Gaming

While some titles like Cyberpunk 2077 have been universally panned, there are still hundreds of computer games (like the still-excellent 2013 remake of Simcity) made over the course of the last 20 years you can revisit (or play for the first time).

Online Casinos

Going into musty files is only one way to keep busy on your computer – services like Casinofy.com provide numerous reviews about myriad online casinos and the services that they provide. You’ll be able to locate one that you can spend time on.

Conclusion

There’s still a good reason for us to stick in our houses. Pick up a new hobby or jump back in to an old favorite to wile away the hours until the first few plants start blooming in spring.
